
Google-glassing (and eye-tracking) in-car User-Interfaces
Challenge:
This car supplier client asked us to show exactly how long customers take their eyes of the road using different car UI systems, and recommendations on how this can then be minimized?
Research and Outputs:
With a rare Google Glass head-set, with a bespoke eye-tracking camera and software set-up, and with bespoke real-time graphical outputs overlaying twin-source research films, we robustly captured comparable data on different users’ use of three different in-car UI systems — and were able to show the most salient comparisons between the different systems to powerfully complement the numerical outputs.
